Preventive
A dental prophylaxis is a cleaning procedure performed to throughly clean the teeth. Everyone should have a cleaning done by a dental professional every 6 months to ensure that bacteria, plaque and food debris are completely removed from teeth.
Restorative
Fillings – When cavities are relatively small, the dental decay is removed and a white, tooth colored filling is placed. This prevents the decay from becoming bigger and/or spreading to other teeth.
Orthodontics
Space maintainers – When a baby tooth is lost earlier than normal, the remaining teeth often shift to close the open space, causing orthodontic problems and trouble with adult tooth eruption. A space maintainer is like an orthodontic appliance, and it is glued in place until the adult tooth erupts into the empty space.
Esthetic
White spot lesions, trauma, and teeth that are smaller than they need to be can be addressed by cosmetically placing tooth colored material over the top of the discolored area.
Emergency and Trauma

Treatment Adjuncts
Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) – For the slightly anxious patient or a young one needing help to sit in the chair long enough for completion of treatment, nitrous oxide can be used.
